Job Description
We are seeking a Field Operations Lead to scale a global field organization responsible for largescale robotics data collection. This leadership role will oversee a distributed team across multiple geographies ensuring operational excellence data quality and regulatory compliance. This role will drive strategy optimize workflows and establish the necessary infrastructure to support the companys robotics initiatives at scale.
You Will:
- Define and execute strategy for a global field operations organization supporting robotics data collection across multiple regions.
- Oversee and scale a hybrid workforce including a fulltime team and a network of contractors responsible for field data collection.
- Establish and optimize regional hubs in multiple US and international geographies to balance cost efficiency and quality.
- Develop and enforce global compliance frameworks ensuring adherence to regulatory privacy and safety standards.
- Drive operational efficiency by implementing standardized workflows automation tools and process improvements.
- Foster collaboration with engineering product and AI teams to align data collection with model development needs.
- Monitor key performance metrics including coverage data quality operational uptime and compliance adherence while continuously iterating on process improvements.
- Oversee technology investments in hardware software and automation to enhance data collection capabilities.
You Have:
- 8 years of leadership experience in operations robotics logistics or a related field.
- Proven expertise in scaling field organizations managing both fulltime teams and contractor networks.
- Experience with multisite operations including international field deployments.
- Strong background in compliance safety and risk management in a complex operational environment.
- Familiarity with robotics autonomous systems and AIdriven data collection workflows.
- Strategic mindset with handson execution ability balancing highlevel planning with daytoday operational needs.
- Excellent crossfunctional collaboration skills able to work with engineering product and executive leadership teams.
- Datadriven decisionmaking ability leveraging metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with robotics testing AV operations or largescale data collection programs.
- Knowledge of automation industrial sensor technologies or fleet management.
- Experience optimizing a global workforce with onshore and offshore operations.
- Military experience.
This role is ideal for a leader passionate about scaling complex operations optimizing robotics data collection and driving efficiency in a fastmoving AIdriven environment.
Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary equity and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience interview performance and relevant education or training. Scale employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation subject to Board of Director approval.
