With extremely successful launch of Vyndaqel/Vyndamax for the treatment of patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTRCM) Pfizer cemented its position as a global leader in the field of ATTRamyloidosis. Vyndamax/Vyndaqel represents US Commercial priority brands the anchor brand for the Specialty Care. Midway through the life cycle the competitive landscape is about to have 4 entrants in a 18 month time frame. The Business Acceleration Team (BAT) framework is essential to maintain the momentum behind this megablockbuster (>3.5B in annual sales).
What You Will Achieve
The US Vyndamax BAT Pilot in Command is a role with full US Vynda scope that will oversee strategy development and execution of the Business Acceleration Team. This includes a refresh on a semester basis and oversight and leadership of 6 key workstreams annually leading to brand delivery of 20 initiatives across functions. The role will foster close collaboration across stakeholders (HCP consumer payer sales channel management data science etc) to ensure local insights are leveraged in the development of competitive strategies/tactics and to facilitate implementation of these strategies and tactics. This role will also function as a leader on the US Vyndamax Marketing team and will represent Vyndamax at monthly and quarterly leadership updates.
This role requires an experienced marketer who has extensive US marketing experience and strong business acumen. This role is a matrixed leader with a mix of reports: 2 directs indirectly lead a the crew (8 entered into PLI for goal setting) levels vary from senior manager to director to sales leader etc) and be responsible for over 3545 additional crew on a semester basis in the pilot in command framework.
This position will report to US Amyloidosis Lead (Vice President level)
How You Will Achieve It
Own the overarching strategy including strategic priorities positioning of the 3 BAT activities and leadership of tactical pull through across HCP consumer accounts etc. (matrixed)
Determine and initiate 3 distinct workstreams on a semesterly basis that highlight the top 3 deliverables/initiatives for Vyndamax on a semesterly basis
Includes mapping out strategy execution clarity on which business lever team is working towards
Identify individual work stream leads and then support teams including subject matter experts (expanding beyond the day to day Vyndamax team)
Weekly check ins with each team and preparation for monthly ATC meetings with senior leadership
Lead monthly Air Traffic Control (ATC) in front of the SC leadership team and other XFT leaders LT1
Includes tracking through a variety of tools and templates that needs to be completed for the BATs
Proactively monitor the BATs problem solve escalate when needed.
Lead meetings to ensure timely insights are turned to action and impact as it relates to Vynda performance tracking and course correct as necessary
Challenge the status quo to maintain growth during this critical competitive phase
Lead small group executions (i.e 46 work streams) as needed and also responsible for the full BAT 3 distinct work streams)
Responsible for PLI for the crew on a semester basis including goal setting and assessments of colleagues
Lead the annual operating plan process including revenue and expense recommendations (as this will lead into next semester of BAT activities)

Qualifications
MustHave
Bachelors Degree required. Advance degree preferred.
12 years healthcare industry experience (10years with advanced degree)
Substantial brand planning / brand strategy development experience
Substantial commercial and execution experience
Proven ability to lead with out direct authority
High scientific aptitude with a demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate emerging data in a new and rapidly evolving therapeutic area (i.e ATTRCM)
Experience representing opportunities and brand plans to senior leadership.
Prior experience in Rare Disease or Oncology required.
Proven ability to proactively lead the thinking connect communicate influence and persuade.
Successful track record of delivering commercial growth and driving performance through teams.
Ability to liaise with many different functions and colleagues and lead by influence effectively to implement strategies with internal/external stakeholders.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights and acting upon customer needs.
Market research experience or significant engagement with market research in numerous projects.
Handson experience leading communication platforms managing agencies and/or other related projects.
Experience interfacing/collaborating with Regulatory Medical Legal and other functions.
