Join our client an established nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families in the Tampa Bay community. The organization is seeking a skilled HR professional to join their team to help advance their mission of strengthening families and improving childrens lives.
Position Overview
The Manager of Human Resources reports directly to the CEO and will oversee all human resource functions while working strategically to maintain and elevate HR operations. This role combines strategic HR leadership with handson management of essential functions.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership
Implement HR strategies aligned with the mission vision and values
Collaborate with Leadership Team on organizational initiatives
Provide guidance on policy interpretation and decisionmaking
Prepare quarterly HR briefings for Board council
Compliance & Administration
Maintain HR compliance with laws regulations and accreditation requirements
Develop and implement effective policies and procedures
Manage employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
Oversee biweekly payroll processing and HRIS system integrity
Administer workers compensation program
Talent Management
Lead recruiting efforts and support hiring managers
Develop and conduct new employee orientation
Support performance management processes
Recommend training and development initiatives
Manage the HR Coordinator position
Benefits & Compensation
Manage comprehensive benefits programs including open enrollment
Collaborate on annual budget preparation including salary planning
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Management or related field
Demonstrated HR experience at the professional level preferably in nonprofit
PHR or SHRMCP certification preferred
Payroll processing experience (ADP Workforce Now knowledge a plus)
Experience managing benefits programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Technical proficiency with HCM and shared file systems
Valid Florida drivers license and reliable transportation
Must pass background check MVR check and drug screening
