Job Description
27 News seeks a Digital Content Producer & CrossPlatform Journalist to join our evening team. If you thrive in a fastpaced newsroom enjoy telling impactful stories and want to create content that connects with audiences on air online and across social media this is the role for you.

About the Role
This hybrid role is key to our transition to a fully integrated newsroom. Youll produce for both digital and broadcast platforms while helping lead our digitalfirst strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute digital content strategies for web mobile and social platforms
- Champion a multiplatform newsroom model through leadership and example
- Drive audience engagement by managing and growing our social media presence
- Pitch original onbrand stories in daily editorial meetings
- Shoot write edit and produce compelling content for broadcast and digital use
- Write clean accurate web copy using AP style
- Build digital campaigns that promote station projects and special coverage
- Collaborate with anchors producers and reporters to shape daily news coverage
- Balance breaking news with enterprise storytelling
- Monitor and post timely updates and video content to digital channels
- Represent the station positively in online viewer interactions
- Stay calm under pressure and adjust quickly to breaking news scenarios
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in journalism communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong writing and editing skills with fluency in AP style
- Experience with web CMS social media management and digital publishing
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite basic HTML and video editing preferred
- Prior experience in a newsroom or fastpaced content environment
- Organized collaborative and comfortable working across departments
- Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
