Job Description
JOB TITLE: Elementary Music Education Teacher (Williamstown Elementary)REPORTS TO: PrincipalPOSITION STATEMENT: Williamstown Elementary School seeks a passionate and dynamic Elementary Music Teacher to cultivate musical understanding creativity and appreciation in all students. The successful candidate will inspire a love for music while fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive environment that strives to support the artistic development of every student. As a member of a collaborative and caring school community the music teacher will deliver highquality standardsbased general music instruction support schoolwide performances and contribute to a vibrant artsenriched educational :Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree in Music Education or a related field or eligible for licensure in Music (all levels) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary musicianship and a demonstrated ability to engage elementary learners through developmentally appropriate music interpersonal and communication to equity inclusion and ongoing professional & Essential Functions (which include but are not limited to):Deliver engaging and standardsbased music instruction for students in grades PreK6 incorporating singing movement instruments and music a welcoming classroom environment grounded in culturally and linguistically sustaining practices where students feel safe to explore and express themselves a culture of rich musical learning that is engaging to students and supportive to the school community as a with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate music with broader curricular themes where and organize music resources instruments and in ongoing professional development and reflective in school events faculty meetings and collaborative planning in opportunities to support the schools music program through participation in the production of the annual sixth grade school musical school concerts and community events. An additional stipend is provided for these duties as outlined in the districts teachers duties as & Compensation:Annual salary range: $50474 $110081 commensurate with education and & dental plans: Comprehensive options include Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO PPO and POS plans.
