Job Description

Healthy Habits Food Program Coordinator Neenah
Position Overview
The Healthy Habits Food Program Coordinator facilitates operations of the Healthy Habits Food Program meal service Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at the respective Branch location.
Essential Job Functions
Operations
  • Prepare and serve meals inclusive of breakfast lunch dinner and snacks that meet or exceed CACFP/SFSP grant guidelines.
  • Prepare and distribute menus for youth and families.
  • Oversee inventory of food beverages and operating supplies and place orders consistently with food service vendors.
  • Manage Healthy Habits Food Program budget.
  • Maintain and grow successful relationships with purveyors and suppliers.
  • Oversee relevant grant administrations and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to align goals and strategies and to foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork.
  • Engage in continuous learning and contribute to the effective implementation of continuous improvement processes.
  • Support the ethical use of data to make decisions in a timely and informed manner.
  • Represent the organization to the community in a way that enhances the organizations profile builds its reputation supports its strategic priorities and advances its mission.
  • Contribute to operational goals and objectives that align with and advance the organizations strategic priorities.
  • Support team development and performance inclusive of but not limited to active listening teambased learning recognition fun and transparent communications.
  • Strive to meet and surpass the expectations of youth families staff volunteers Board funders and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the planning implementation execution and evaluation of special projects.
  • Focus efforts on promoting equity engaging in traumainformed and continuous improvement practices and doing what is needed to help the communities the organization serves become great places for all children and youth to grow and thrive.

  • Support fundraising donor stewardship and Board engagement activities.
Safety and Risk Management
  • Maintain safety and sanitation levels required by federal state and local health codes.
  • Ensure current safety practices meet or exceed organizational requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of new or amended policies practices and processes that further mitigate and minimize safety risks.
Talent Development
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence aligning your efforts with the organizations values mission strategic priorities and policies.
  • Participate in available coaching opportunities regular oneonone meetings with your supervisor performance evaluations and goal setting.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and development by following talent development requirements and creating and following a professional development plan.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The Healthy Habits Food Program Coordinator requires a majority combination of the following:
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts or related area.
  • One years relevant experience in preparation of institutional quantities/qualities of food for a cafeteria setting or related field.
  • State of Wisconsin Food Manager Certification
  • Demonstrated record of cooking/baking large quantities of food and knowledge of basic health and sanitation codes.
  • Experience with positively impacting youth.
Skills and Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey information in a timely open and clear manner.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computers software and other technology tools.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Working Conditions
Work will occur mostly in a climatecontrolled environment and outdoors with some exposure to safety or health hazards. This role routinely uses hazardous and nonhazardous cleaning chemicals commercial grade cooking equipment such as grills and convection ovens heavy equipment such as a commercial grade dishwasher and standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands include:
  • Must be able to move independently indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment such as a phone and photocopier.
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to quickly detect safety concerns.
  • Must be able to move equipment and supplies required to perform the positions responsibilities.
  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity coordination and stamina.
  • Must be able to work effectively in an environment where the noise level may be loud at times.
  • Must be able to stand and move around in kitchen as needed for long periods of time.
