As a proficient vehicle technician your responsibilities will include diagnosing system faults rectifying issues (including component replacement) and ensuring vehicle systems meet manufacturer specifications. The role is open to experienced Vehicle Technicians trained to diagnostic or master technician levels within a franchised dealer environment.
Requirements
Essential requirements include a
- Full UK drivers licence and personal tools. Depending on your expertise your duties will encompass:
- Utilising technical knowledge for repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles including both minor and major mechanical work.
- Performing major electrical and engine repairs.
- Engaging with customers to discuss vehicle issues and necessary repairs.
- Conducting road tests postrepair.
- Using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify faults specific to the franchise brand.
- Completing Vehicle Health Checks (VHC) and ensuring VHC video completion meets targets and exceeds KPIs.
- Technical knowledge to confidently and safely perform vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using workshop systems and equipment.
- Experience in a franchise dealer environment adhering to the highest quality standards.
- A track record of meeting productivity targets.
- Teamwork skills to achieve optimal results for customers.
- Qualifications by experience or a Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- The ability to mentor and coach apprentices and support less experienced team members.
