About the Role Kennel Assistant

As a Kennel Assistant youll play a vital role in ensuring the health happiness and wellbeing of the animals in our care. Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning kennels cattery units and play areas to our high standards

Feeding grooming and providing daily enrichment for our furry guests

Exercise playtime and oneonone interaction from fun activities to comforting cuddles

This role is handson and far from glamorous (think muddy paws pet hair and plenty of cleaning!) but the rewards of building bonds with the animals make it all worthwhile!

Qualifications :

Essential Criteria:

A reliable team player with a proactive attitude

Excellent communication skills able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues at all levels

Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes

Ability to follow standard operating procedures to ensure the highest level of care

Presentable and professional smart clean and tidy in appearance

Polite approachable and customerfocused providing excellent service to clients

Committed to continuous learning and selfdevelopment helping us maintain our reputation for excellence

Eligibility to work in the UK with a 5year checkable history

Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience in animal welfare

Canine/feline first aid certification

Evidence of further education in a related field
