Job Description
Are you looking to make a real difference in the lives of others Berman & Simmons Maines leading personal injury law firm is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Lewiston. Our firm specializes in representing clients in complex medical malpractice and serious personal injury cases and we are looking for someone who is organized proactive and passionate about supporting people during difficult times.
As a Legal Assistant you will play a vital role in managing civil litigation cases from intake through trial providing essential support to attorneys and helping ensure that clients receive the outstanding representation they deserve.
What Youll Do:
Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical)
Prepare and file legal documents pleadings motions and correspondence
Schedule and coordinate meetings depositions and court appearances
Communicate professionally with clients medical providers and other parties
Assist with legal research documentation gathering and general administrative tasks
What Were Looking For:
Strong communication organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced highvolume environment
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence in client service
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software; legal experience a plus
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
