PSEG operates under a Flexible Work Model where flexible work is offered when job requirements allow. In support of this model roles have been categorized into one of four work location categories:
Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.
Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/inperson interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.
Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/inperson interactions on a regular basis require employees to live within a commutable distance and since business needs vary by position and may change over time managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely require employees to live in approved states and will have purposedriven inperson interactions on occasion.

THISIS A TEMPORARY POSITION.
Performs work in the Customer Inquiry Center associated with the proper interviewing or handling inquires of customers by telephone. Performs Collection and Credit work in connection with the interviewing of residential and commercial customers concerning collection credit problems the collection of unpaid accounts for gas and electric service deposits and other related clerical work.
1. Interview residential and commercial customers concerning collection and credit problems including but not limited to: discontinuance reminders and notices for delinquent energy security deposits and sundry sales payment arrangements shutoffs for nonpayment responsibility for charges explaining Payment Assistance programs available and related company policies and BPU Tariff regulations.
2. Complete various collection activities including but not limited to: the examination of residential and commercial accounts previously shutoff for nonpayment active and broken payment arrangements and security deposit requests.
3. Generate orders reports etc. necessary in connection with assigned work such as active orders inactive orders and other work related to Inbound Collection calls.
4. Perform other similar or less skilled related work related to the Collection Call Center as directed.
Must meet the Companys general requirements and in addition:
1. Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
2. Must be able to work from home and/or office.
3. Must have exceptional poise and tact as indicated by the ability to handle routine and more complex customer contacts in a pleasant and courteous manner and demonstrate a high level of ownership in resolving customer inquiries.
4. Must possess excellent communication and telephone skills strong typing skills along with the knowledge of computers.
5. Must have flexible availability and must be available for storm duty.
6. Must be able to work various shifts to cover PSE&G 24/7 Call Center Operation.
7. Must be neat and accurate in work as indicated by the ability to compile data and to prepare orders forms and statements which are used without independent check.
8. Must be able to understand transmit and apply oral and written instructions.
9. Must satisfactorily pass designated tests
10. Must be available to work required overtime when assigned by Company
