Job Description

Receptionist / Attendance Clerk


Arizonas first and only autismfocused charter school seeking a Receptionist/Attendance Clerk.

Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director; the Receptionist/Attendance Clerk manages the front desk and is the front line of customer service and community interaction for our schools. This role may involve bilingual translation interpretation customer support and other administrative duties.


Attendance Duties:

  • Communicate with parents students staff etc. in person by telephone or by letter to provide information on a variety of attendance issues and meeting district and state absence notification requirements.
  • Ensures accuracy of attendance records including verification of teacher records.
  • Maintains a variety of attendance records schedules and files (manual and computer) (e.g. contact and telephone logs student attendance school calendars etc.) to provide reliable information in compliance with district policies.
  • Prepares a variety of reports and written materials (.g. passes standardized and special attendance reports letters to parents etc.) to convey information regarding school and/or district activities and procedures.
  • Processes attendance records to disseminate information to appropriate parties.


Receptionist Duties:

  • Serve as the front line for AZACS providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills routing each call to the appropriate person to answer
  • Greet the public assist personnel and students
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other personnel and students
  • Serve as the gatekeeper to all phone calls and responses
  • Participate in annual and ongoing staff training
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families
  • Ensure the accuracy of the student in and out log
  • Contact facilities and operations about all incoming deliveries
  • Keep lobby area clear of debris and inviting to all that enter
  • Prepare materials as directed by the administration
  • Assists staff with meeting preparation and room scheduling as needed
  • Uniform deliveries use an email template to inform staff of uniform delivery
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Google Suite including proficiency with word processing spreadsheets email and calendar programs preferred
  • Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required


ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class require: stooping crouching reaching standing walking fingering grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.


Light Work:

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.


Working Conditions:

Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
