You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailA leader in engineering design and systems integration with over 25 years of experience serving the water wastewater and private industrial markets across the MidAtlantic region is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to join its team in Seaford Delaware.
Work Schedule: Hybrid inoffice presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays; remote work permitted Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays.
Hours: Flexible schedule with core inoffice hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The Mechanical Engineer IV will be responsible for producing full mechanical design packages coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and serving as a technical leader within the project lifecycle. The role includes direct involvement in HVAC plumbing and fire protection system design for a variety of commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of complete mechanical engineering deliverables in line with approved project scopes.
Design and analyze HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems including load calculations system layout and equipment selection.
Interface with electrical structural and civil teams to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
Utilize AutoCAD and Carrier HAP (preferred) for detailed design documentation and system performance validation.
Review design documents prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy code compliance and adherence to company standards.
Attend internal and clientfacing quality control meetings offering strategic input on design approach and system performance.
Manage multiple ongoing projects ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.
Perform periodic local site visits with occasional overnight travel as required.
Key Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Previous consulting engineering experience in HVAC plumbing and fire protection system design.
Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings specifications and schematics.
Ability to manage overlapping project schedules in a deadlinedriven environment.
Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and HVAC load calculation software (Carrier HAP preferred).
Analytical and problemsolving mindset with strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management organization and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a collaborative team setting and engaging directly with clients and project stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience overseeing project delivery from concept through construction support.

Salary range: $87000$115000 depending on experience level and PE certification.
