Job Description
At WXXV you will work in a vacation destination with sunshine yearround. . . a relaxing environment where you can build your Meteorology career.
Meteorologists thrive on the varying weather conditions on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Here you can grow as a Meteorologist and as an onair talent. We build careers with daily coaching mentoring and review of your work. You will work with a Chief Meteorologist who has more than a decade of experience forecasting South Mississippi weather. Were also looking for a candidate who has strong social media skills and can connect with our viewers on various social media platforms.
We currently broadcast seven hours of news each weekday and utilize the Baron Weather software in our weather department.
WXXVs studios are located in Gulfport Mississippi. Great beaches Gulf seafood and worldclass casinos are a few of the things that make the Mississippi Gulf Coast a tourist destination. We are located between New Orleans and Mobile just an hours drive.
A good driving record is a utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
