Job Summary/Description:
WCJB TV20 News seeks a talented and energetic meteorologist/journalist to join our award-winning team. We are looking for a qualified Meteorologist who can prepare and deliver weather forecasts and weather information as well as report as an MMJ for our news segments on WCJB TV20.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Analyze weather data and prepare detailed forecasts
- Prepare graphics to support the weather presentation
- Conversational On-air presentation
- Flexible schedule for severe weather scenarios
- Report stories for our news segments as an MMJ
- Post content to the website and station social media platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A Bachelors degree in meteorology
- Prior experience as a broadcast meteorologist (amount will vary depending on specific position)
- Strong on-air communication skills
- Ability to work as part of an on-air weather team and part of a news team
- Ability to be creative with graphic design and presentation
