We are looking for a highly skilled and detailoriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team in Gurugram. Reporting to the Head of Payroll this role will be responsible for managing and ensuring accurate timely and compliant payroll processing for Wood Mackenzies operations in India. The role requires strong technical expertise in payroll processing statutory compliance and the ability to work collaboratively with HR Finance and external partners.
Process accurate and timely monthly payroll for global payrolls in line with statutory and company guidelines.
Manage all aspects of payroll administration including salaries bonuses deductions tax computations and statutory benefits.
Validate payroll inputs received from HR (e.g. new hires exits salary revisions attendance and leave data).
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to payroll such as Provident Fund (PF) Employee State Insurance (ESI) Professional Tax Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) and Income Tax (TDS).
Handle the filing and payment of statutory contributions and returns ensuring deadlines are met without exception.
Liaise with external payroll vendors to manage payroll outsourcing where applicable and maintain data integrity.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports salary registers and support Finance in posting payrollrelated entries.
Respond to employee payrollrelated queries promptly and professionally.
Support internal and external audits by providing payrollrelated reports and documentation.
Contribute to payroll process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor changes in payrollrelated laws and regulations ensuring timely updates to internal policies and practices.
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related discipline.
47 years of experience in endtoend payroll operations preferably within multinational or large corporate environments.
Indepth understanding of Indian payroll compliance and regulatory requirements.
Experience working with payroll software and ERP systems (SAP Oracle ADP or local systems).
Proficiency in MS Excel for payroll calculations and reporting.
High attention to detail accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage employee interactions effectively.
Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage timelines under pressure.
