Ultrasound Tech - Per Diem - Evenings (East Hampton Emergency Dept)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes confidence and trust. Capable of working independently/unsupervised. Perform diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician. Perform all Ultrasound Imaging techniques and examinations according to established standards and procedures: Abdominal Retroperitoneal Obstetric and Gynecological Carotid Vascular Small Parts and Intracavity exams. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. The schedule may include days weekends nights and call rotation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adheres to the hospital and department policies.
• Requires regular and prompt attendance.
• Works assigned schedule including overtime and calls as scheduled.
• Assists with training.
• Maintains an orderly and clean work environment.
• Communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians patients families and health care team.

SPECIAL SKILLS OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a program in Ultrasound Technology.
• License/Certification: Certification in Ultrasound or eligible.
• ARDMS OR ARRT Certification within 6 months of hire required.
