Job Description

Highway Maintenance Worker 1:
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction

Highway Technician 1:
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals percentages & fractions; ability to read write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.

Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) Perry County PN

The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.

What You Will Do:

  • You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer
  • You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder.
  • You will perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging pothole patching repairing guardrails litter pickup mowing.
  • You will perform snow & ice operations.
