Job Description

Summary of Duties

The Patient Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordination of patient flow and patient activities; administrative services; maintenance of patient records staffing scheduling and administrative support to the patient care unit.

Qualifications/Skills

  • One year of Administrative/Business experience required in a health care setting

  • Outstanding Customer Service Skills Essential/Demonstrated PersonCentred Care

  • Excellent problemsolving and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to organize work effectively and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment

  • Medical Terminology course preferred

  • preferred

  • Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows

  • Keyboarding at 40 w.p.m. or 106 net keystrokes per minute
