Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a 3rd year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student to work within our Development Engineering Team for a 4 month Coop Term. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members in providing support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques.
Work Term: Fall 2025
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5x per week (Mon Fri)
Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd. Etobicoke ON
Job Responsibilities
- Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software
- Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics electronics high power electrical software and systems engineering
- Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements
- Assist with product testing (mechanical electrical software)
- Responsible for managing short duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation
Qualifications
- 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering
- Able to work a 4 Month Coop Work Term for the Fall of 2025 (SeptDec)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A team player who is also able work to independently under supervision of a senior team member
- Structured problemsolving experience and exposure to Lean principles
- Quick learner
- Experience using 3D modelling tools such as Solid Edge is a strong asset
- Experience with product development testing an asset
