The mandate of the Health Promotion Service area is to advocate for safe supportive healthy community environments through the development of healthy public policy and the delivery of programs associated with Healthy Growth and Development Chronic Disease Prevention School Health Immunization Dental Health and for advancing the development of healthy public policy to effect systemwide change that improves the populations health while addressing inequities in the health of subpopulations in Ottawa.
You provide dental public health services as mandated under the Health Protection and Promotion Act and its regulations. You also perform clinical dental hygiene duties for patients at City of Ottawa dental clinics.
Completion of 2 year diploma program in Dental Hygiene.
Less than 1 year of experience required preferably working in a private dental practice or public health environment.
