Job Description

Education: Associates degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Position Requirements:

  • Prior certification as an NDT level II in Radiography is required
  • Digital radiography experience is required.
  • Completion of RT formal training Per SNT TC1A required
  • Prior certification as an NDT Level I or II with experience hours towards certification to Level II per SNTTC1A standards on one or more (1) of the following is preferred; UT VT MT or PT.
  • Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
  • Completion of a forty (40) hour Radiation Safety Course preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
  • To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position;

o Adaptability Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment. Manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change delays and/or unexpected events.

o Quality demonstrates accuracy thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality

o Safety actively promotes safety procedures; use all equipment and materials properly.

Demonstrated proficiency with computers and MS Office applications including Outlook Word Excel etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to interface effectively within and across teams both internally and externally as required.

Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification.

This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Job Summary:

A Quality NDT Technicianperforms systems checks and calibration nondestructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and recording of results.

Responsibilities:

Set up and utilize radiographic testing equipment.

Actively participate in Radiation safety Programs.

Ensure the work or radiation area is controlled.

Calibrate radiographic testing equipment as required.

Conduct radiographic tests to ensure quality or detection of discontinuities.

Establish techniques for proper examination of welds under inspection while ensuring strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.

Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.

Interpret radiographs.

Organize and report test results.

Complete maintain and/or submit daily radiation reports for management review as required.

Perform specialized inspections as required.

May train and/or provide direction to new hires

Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
