Job Description
- Develop implement and execute purchasing strategies to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times to support demand.
- Generate purchase orders and track lead time to ensure timely receipt of inventory.
- Review and follow up with suppliers on outstanding purchase orders to update ship dates.
- Become point of contact for sales team on all special orders.
- Work closely with Supply Chain Manager to evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure suppliers comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and determine need for change.
- Source alternate suppliers to offset potential delivery capacity quality and costing issues with primary suppliers.
- Must be selfmotivated have the ability to organize daily routine and adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of math and critical thinking skills.
- Work closely with all departments as an integral member of a team.
- An Excel whiz!
