As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AWS and designing scalable microservicesbased solutions.
- Design and implement userfacing features using .
- Build reusable components and libraries for future use.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers designers and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction visuals and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and best practices in both backend and frontend development.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot).
- Experience in AWS environments
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Thorough understanding of and its core principles. Experience with popular workflows (such as Redux or Flux).
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization. Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to create intuitive user interfaces.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders product owners designers and platform teams.
