Forklift Operators
About the role:
Reporting to the Production Line Supervisor the Forklift Operator will support harvest operations by carrying out a series of jobs including bins receival weighting packing transporting and loading of produce into the cool room and trucks as directed.
Key operational accountabilities include:
- Ensure trailers are loaded in a timely manner.
- Stack bins in correct group of 3.
- Load cool room as directed by Production Line Supervisor.
- Stage loads as directed.
- Ensure seedless cool room drains are clear and flowing.
- Load bins on and off scales.
- Stack up made bins.
- Ensure pallets and cardboard ready for bin makers.
- Stage loads as directed.
- Daily Forklift checks completed. Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage.
- Ensure weights in bins are correct.
- Ensure correct size seedless used when finalising weight.
- Blow and wipe down bins and seedless.
- Pallet cap finish goods.
- Ensure all bin labels are on bins and label info is correct.
- Ensure Pack Manager is entered correct.
- Ensure truck is load as directed.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Evidence of work rights in Australia.
- Current Forklift license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Current drivers license.
- You must pass a Forklift competency test conducted on the farm before being issued a contract of employment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods including weekends and public holidays.
- Immediate availability to start work.
- Ability to secure accommodation as there is no farm accommodation.
- Willing to stay for the whole harvest period.
- Be capable and willing to work in a busy environment.
- Awareness and ability to adhere to rules and procedures.
- Chemical Certification will be advantageous but not mandatory.
Production Worker Store Person
About the role:
Reporting to the Packhouse Manager in Griffith the Production WorkerStore Person will support harvest operations by carrying out a series of jobs including receiving handling and despatching goods in our packing facilities.
Key operational accountabilities include:
- Receiving incoming goods checking for damage and for discrepancies
- between goods and packing orders.
- Unloading vehicles opening packages and removing contents.
- Operating Rombola Family Farms systems to obtain details of location and
- quantity of items in stock.
- Labelling goods with details of storage location.
- Packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes.
- Operating specialised equipment such as manually and electronically guided order pickers and checking goods off picking list.
- Assisting with regular stocktakes.
- Operating machines/equipment to lift place and remove goods on high levels. May require using materials handling equipment such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks to move goods.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Current unencumbered Drivers License.
- Forklift license desirable.
- Capable of working in a fastpaced environment with a cando attitude.
- Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
- Awareness and ability to adhere to rules and procedures.
- Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
