HR OPERATIONS AND VISA COORDINATOR Sloan Human Resources will ensure accurate and timely processing of HR transactions including but not limited to employee pay changes terminations job posting payroll adjustments etc. while maintaining employee records; proactively review HR transactions including term appointments & temporary increases to verify status; support and monitor HR workflows including Service Now requests to ensure accurate systems of record and reporting capabilities; interpret advise and provide information on general HR operations and processes and MIT/Sloan personnel policies and procedures; investigate and resolve payroll issues; lead manage and prepare all required materials for visa processing; stay up to date with changes in immigration laws and regulations and ensure school compliance; work with leadership to determine and coordinate relevant training for international processes; and be a principle liaison with the MIT International Scholars Office / International Students Office.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree; a minimum of two years of HR or related experience; sensitivity to organizational dynamics and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels; discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; working familiarity with federal and state employment laws and HR principles; robust knowledge of Excel Word PowerPoint SAP or similar systems and reporting software tools; robust organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fastpaced team environment; to work proactively independently and crossfunctionally; and excellent communications (speaking listening writing) client service interpersonal and problemsolving skills. Salary range: $58450 $76948 $$95445 based on related experience expertise and internal equity. Generally new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
