Job Description

Description

Role Purpose: Support the core HR functions for one or more departments leveraging intermediate professional knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
Work under general supervision to handle moderately complex issues and problems.
Apply solid working knowledge to support HR tasks and initiatives.

Reporting Structure:
Report to the Department HR Manager.
Collaborate frequently with workforce and department leaders the HR team and Centers of Excellence (COEs).



Responsibilities

Accountable to deliver the following essential activities within the assigned department(s):
Apply administer and implement HR Policy/guiding principles
Support HR Policy administration and support
Support talent acquisition standard recruiting including screening interviewing and consulting
Guide leadership regarding compensation decisions
Guide leadership regarding performance management
Support performance management calibration amongst leadership
Support workforce relations efforts and assist with resolving disputes
Support benefit and compensation analysis proposals approval requests and merit increases processes
Resolve compensation and benefit issues
Administer promotion and inline adjustment review and approval processes
Support reduction in force (RIF) efforts
Support labor relations (unionized workforce)
Other duties as assigned



Qualifications

Required:
Bachelors degree in a related field
2 years industryrelated experience
Solid working knowledge of HR operations
Familiarity of best practices of HR functions
Key skills and core competencies include the ability to:
o Be organized with strong attention to detail
o Manage and prioritize multiple deliverables effectively
o Demonstrate strong time management skills
o Deliver excellent customer service
o Problem solve and provide effective solutions
o Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
o Apply policy to business situations
o Collaborate and work effectively in a team

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
