Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing highquality care to individuals in need for those in our Supported living environments. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care medication administration and behaviour management.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients including bathing dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with various needs.
- Support clients in daily living activities and promote their independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including nurses to develop individualised care plans.
- Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies while providing first aid when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care or assisted living is preferred but not necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service users.
