What will your days be like at LGI Healthcare Solutions 

The role of Development Manager ensures that the activities priorities and objectives of team members are properly managed. You will also play an active role in the Managed Payroll Services teams decisionmaking process working closely with your director and colleagues. 

You will motivate and stimulate your team by supporting and guiding them in the acquisition of new knowledge by enabling them to grow within the company and by ensuring that they have the necessary tools to develop a motivating and attractive career plan. 

How will your contributions be showcased

Team Management

  • Manage a multidisciplinary team and act as the HR resource person for the team; 
  • Guide and assist employees in their professional development acting as coach and mentor to continuously improve team members performance and satisfaction; 
  • Create an agile mutually respectful environment where individuals are confident secure and able to innovate; 
  • Identify and plan knowledge transfers required for upcoming projects; 
  • Evaluate staffing needs hire replacements or reassign people as required to create effective teams; 
  • Participate in setting and achieving objectives; 
  • Provide ongoing and timely communication on departmental issues; 

Technical Leadership

  • Develop a broader understanding of products; 
  • Assist and contribute to shaping the product and operations roadmap; 
  • Lead team members in their efforts to develop requirementsbased specifications and designs; 
  • Collaborate with the support team to assess customer issues and determine the best course of action; 
  • Participate as an active member of the extended management team to improve departmental processes and performance; 
  • Foster productive interdepartmental relationships; 
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of appropriate technologies;

Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization

  • Ensures proper review of processes and documentation in collaboration with team members.

Qualifications :

What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:

  • University degree in Administration Computer Science Health Sciences or an equivalent combination of experience; 
  • At least 7 years experience in software engineering; 
  • At least 5 years experience managing a technical team; 
  • Experience with mainframe environments : COBOL JCL TSO/ISPF; VBA REXX CICS Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of Oracle and C (an asset); 
  • Experience in healthcare IT knowledge of payroll in the Quebec healthcare network or knowledge of LGIs Espresso HR/Pay product (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Atlassian suite tools (an asset);
  • Understanding and knowledge of best practices in public service payroll management (an asset); 
  • This position requires an excellent level of professional French as the candidate will be called upon to work and communicate both orally and in writing with Frenchspeaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues. Knowledge of English would be considered an asset.
