Scout Motors Internship Program

We will provide aspiring professionals with a unique opportunity to gain handson experience with our talented inclusive and entrepreneurial teams. Undergraduate Interns will immerse themselves in the EV landscape gaining exposure to the latest trends technologies and market dynamics. Interns will be assigned meaningful projects aligned with Scouts goals. These projects will challenge interns to apply their academic knowledge in realworld scenarios fostering problemsolving skills and creativity while working under the mentorship of our leaders.

This program is designed for current undergraduate students who live in our local market. Please note that no housing stipend is provided.

2025 Internship Program Overview

  • Schedule: The program is anticipated to run midMay to midAugust 2025
  • Duration: Our internship program runs approximately 12 weeks with the official end date varying dependent upon student needs and thestart of respective Fall academic calendars
  • Transportation Housing: our Interns will be responsible for providing their own housing and transportation

Important Notes:

  • Scout Motors will not provide relocation or sponsorship as part of our Internship program
  • High preference for currently enrolled Bachelors degree students
  • Deadline: applications for the program must be received no later than February 28 2025.

Location & Travel Expectations: This role is onsite and will be based out of our Scout Motors location in Novi MI. The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at inperson meetings and events regularly.

Housing & Sponsorship: Scout Motors does not provide visa sponsorship or housing assistance for internship positions.

About the team

The Technical Operation Management Team within Scout includes 7 employees. This role is specifically designed to develop processes methods and tools for the Engineering Department.

Daily Responsibilities of the Internship Program include

  • Assist in the design implementation and optimization of engineering processes
  • Develop and refine methods and tools to improve productivity and product quality
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and solve technical challenges regarding engineering processes methods and tools
  • Document and report findings and progress to the engineering team

  • Must be enrolled in a bachelors degree program in an Engineering field as a Sophomore or higher
  • Must be able to work from Novi MI from midMay to midAugust 2025.
  • Strong interest in electric vehicles automotive engineering and sustainable transportation.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally and work in a fastpaced team environment.
  • Detailoriented with a proactive and resultsdriven mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools is preferred.

Pay Transparency

This is a paid internship program.

Hourly pay rate $25 per hour
