Job Description
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnoses of ocular diseases.
- Execute advanced surgical procedures particularly phacoemulsification for cataract removal.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on surgical options procedures and potential outcomes.
- Utilize advanced imaging technologies for accurate diagnosis.
- Conduct regular followups to ensure patient recovery and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Participate in the development of clinical protocols and best practices.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and advancements in ophthalmic surgery.
- Engage in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
- Train and mentor junior ophthalmologists and medical staff.
- Handle complications arising from surgical procedures effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with research initiatives to enhance clinical practices.
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Specialization in Ophthalmology.
- Fellowship in cataract and refractive surgery.
- Valid medical registration and license to practice in Andhra Pradesh.
- Proven experience as an ophthalmologist preferably with a focus on phacoemulsification.
- Strong understanding of ocular anatomy and surgical techniques.
- Excellent patient management skills and bedside manner.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Experience in a fastpaced clinical setting.
- Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ethical decisionmaking and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Fluency in English and local languages is preferred.
