Key Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise company officers in performance of firefighting rescue EMS hazardous materials public relation administrative and maintenance duties as outlined in department policy procedures guidelines directives and protocols
- Function as Incident Commander during multicompany and complex incidents or when a Unified Command structure is implemented
- Function as Division/Group Supervisor during multicompany complex and auto/mutualaid incidents or when a Unified Command structure is implemented
- Comply with department policies guidelines directives and protocols
- Responsible to ensure adequate staffing in accordance with department policy
- Responsible for management of shift payroll accuracy and submittal
- Responsible for assigned administrative duties
- Responsible for conducting regular shift training to maintain operational efficiency
- Responsible for major department areas (e.g. fleet EMS respiratory protection etc.)
- Perform initial department accident and injury investigations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Supervision Received:
- Will receive supervision from department Assistant Chief and above
Knowledge / Skills:
- Must possess strong knowledge of the Incident Management System fire ground strategy and tactics current rescue practices and EMS patient care standards
- Must be able to work in combination department composed of both FullTime and PartTime fire suppression and EMS personnel
- Must have working computer knowledge including Microsoft Office software suite
- Must possess strong verbal communication skills
Minimum Qualifications (Duration of employment):
- High school diploma or GED
- Current TCFP Structural Fire Fighter Advanced certification
- Current TCFP Fire Officer III certification
- Current TCFP Instructor II certification
- Current TCFP Driver/Operator Pumper certification
- Current TCFP Driver/Operator Aerial certification
- Current TCFP Hazardous Materials Technician
- Current TCFP Hazardous Materials Incident Commander
- Current TCFP Incident Safety Officer certification
- Current Blue Card Incident Commander certification
- Current TDSHS/National Registry EMTBasic certification/licensure
- TEEX Structural Collapse Technician course completion
- Valid Texas Class B Exempt drivers license
- NIMS
- 6years Company Officer experience
- Satisfactorily pass annual EMS protocol testing administered by medical director
- 40college hours from accredited college or university
- TCFP Incident Commander certification Within 1year of employment
- TCFP Fire Officer IV Within 1year of employment
Hiring Process:

- May 27 2025: Written test (70passing grade) Tactical assessment (graded)
- May 28 2025: Graphic biography (5minutes; graded) Interview panel (graded)
