The Criminal Justice Institute (CJI) is a campus of theUniversity of Arkansas Systemthat serves a unique population of nontraditional studentscertified law enforcement professionals who are actively employed within our States police departments and sheriffs offices. The Institute is committed to making communities safer by supporting law enforcement professionals through training education resources and collaborative partnerships. Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Instructional Design Educational Technology or a related field. Experience in preparing and submitting online forms with close attention to detail.
Experience in developing courseware for various delivery methods including instructorled training (ILT) and webbased training (WBT).
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them in instructional design. Ability to conduct frontend analysis for instructional requirements and develop instructional design documentation.
Proficiency in using multimedia tools (e.g. audio/video editing screen capture) to support interactive learning. Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Access PowerPoint and the Internet.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and NCPC partners.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience working as an Instructional Systems Designer or in a similar instructional design role.
Experience designing accessible learning content that meets Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance standards.
Experience working with course authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline Rise 360 or equivalent.
Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS) preferably Blackboard or Genius.
Familiarity with federal grantfunded training programs or cybersecurityrelated instructional initiatives.
