Maple Grove Primary Care is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the injection room. This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with clinicians to address patient needs provide guidance and solve problems. As an LPN in our injection room you will administer allergy injections immunizations and medications such as Depo Testosterone and B12 as well as perform blood pressure and weight checks Mantoux tests and EKGs. The position offers a consistent 40hour work week Monday through Friday. During the respiratory season you will assist with flu and COVID immunizations ensuring our patient population is vaccinated. In addition you will conduct outreach to patients overdue for vaccinations and participate in other quality outreach initiatives during downtime. This position demands a proactive driven individual who excels in a dynamic environment. Flexibility strong multitasking abilities and a positive attitude are essential. Position Summary:
As a part of our team you will be providing care for patients which may include the following duties:
Escorting patients to exam rooms and appropriately documenting necessary visit information and vitals such as height weight and blood pressure.
Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as directed by a clinician RN or following standing orders.
Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician such as administering ear lavage EKGs and bladder scans.
Ensuring all the components are of the standard rooming process are completed including medication reconciliation and pending refills allergy review immunization reconciliation completion of appropriate forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
Maintaining knowledge of and complying with all relevant laws regulations and policies procedures and standards.
Required Qualifications:
This role requires a BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. Online BLS certification is not acceptable.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
