Job Description

Description

As a Sr. Business Development Representative you will play a crucial role in driving net new Enterprise business opportunities for our fulfillment and distribution solutions. Your primary focus will be on establishing relationships with potential executive level outbound clients through proactive outreach and client facing interactions. You will leverage sales tools multiple communication channels local network industry conferences trade shows and networking at events to build relationships generate interest in our solutions and educate potential clients about VEYERs services. At the Enterprise account level you will be able to get to the root cause of issues using critical skills to generate solutions and schedule time for the prospective client to meet with our team of experts that can solidify that recommendation/solve that problem. Additionally you will be responsible for leading team trainings reporting on pipeline metrics conversion metrics regularly updating data and related dashboards as well as keeping abreast industry trends news and presenting to the broader gotomarket team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and facilitate client facing discovery calls with Enterprise level executives on your own to determine proper fit and level of readiness to move forward in the sales process.
  • Establish relationships with potential Enterprise level clients through proactive outreach.
  • Uncover root cause of client issues using critical skills asking strategic questions and offering consultative solutions on how VEYER could help that leads to successful sales closed by Sr. Sales teammates.
  • Participate in webinars podcasts and other approved media events to provide industry thought leadership on behalf of VEYER.
  • Coach and assist in training and developing other team members skills.
  • Prospecting researching and identifying new outbound prospective clients for our fulfillment and distribution services to add to the sales pipeline. Using tools such as ZoomInfo LinkedIn Sales Navigator industry events and trade publications to enhance prospecting efforts.
  • Conduct outbound outreach activities including but not limited to cold calling email social media SMS to reach prospective clients
  • Keep abreast of industry trends competitors and market changes to provide insightful materials during client interactions.
  • Attend industry conferences and local networking events to represent VEYER.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and uptodate records ensuring everything properly documented. Reporting on KPIs and regularly updating dashboards and data that will be reviewed by leadership team.
  • Mentor and assist in training and developing other team members skills.
  • Assist with creating standing operating procedures that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness for the BDR team.

Education and Experience:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 6
  • Type of Experience:
    • Logistics/supply chain specific to distribution and fulfillment organizationalrelated roles (within the logistics/supply chain sector)
    • Business development lead generation or pipeline creation
    • Desire to advance into a sales or management role with a foundational understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
    • Proven track record of success in a goaldriven environment.
    • Excellent organization communication and presentation skills
    • Team leadership responsibilities and skills
    • Proven track record of assisting Sr. Sales members with closing deals
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems:Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information and to access information necessary to complete the job.
    • Advanced Sales Technical Skills: Proficient with HubSpot ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Can develop and implement creative outbound prospecting strategies to identify and engage with potential executive level clients.
    • Excels in conducting quality researchdriven cold calls emails LinkedIn messages and facetoface communication to generate interest.
    • Reputation of maintaining high performance against goals and metrics including set appointments qualified meetings and activity goals.
    • Quickly able to adapt to and implement change
    • Sales Methodology: Familiarity with MEDDIC or similar sales strategies is preferred but not required.
    • Inperson presentation skills
    • Language Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for grammar punctuation and style.
