Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for dissecting/preparing/storing an incoming tissue specimen. Need to have indepth knowledge of human neuroanatomy. This role works independently under direct and indirect supervision and performs technical and clerical tasks required for the efficient functioning of the department.

Essential Functions
Prepare the Dissection Lab for the arrival of a tissue specimen.
Dissect and store the specimen according to standardized protocols.
Take required tissue quality control measurements.
Clean the Dissection Lab ensuring all biohazard materials are appropriately stored or disposed of.
Attend monthly meetings.



Qualifications

EducationBachelors Degree Related Field of Study requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degreeYesLicenses and CredentialsExperiencePrevious Research experience 12 years preferredKnowledge Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently and on a team.
