Collins Aerospace is looking to host a transitioning veteran as a Procurement Analyst SkillBridge Fellow where you will gain industry experience supporting commodity managers
This position is onsite in Colorado Springs CO

What You Will Learn During This Fellowship
Clearly communicate with commodity managers internal customers and suppliers
Ability to prepare negotiate and work through RFPs with supplier partners
Technical acumen and ability to understand drawing specifications and related requirements
Develop your skill set using Excel Access and other analytical methodologies
Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to develop and execute Supply Chain commodity strategies
Build strong relationships with suppliers
Organize documentation into a format that can be used for compliance purposes
Ability to review commodity market and make a fair and reasonable determination
Works with limited oversight from leadership
Manage and prioritize several projects at one time
Clearly communicate project status to leadership
Negotiate through execution supplier contracts and agreements in support of awarded business
Analyze data and information to determine reasonable prices with commodity manager assistance

To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:
Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4 in the chain of command.
Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:
Supply Chain or Business Degree preferred
Experience with wide range of commodities manufacturing technologies and components from machined mechanical fabrications welding soft goods leather fabric cushions foam plastics composites engineered items such as restraints
Government purchasing and/or sourcing experience based on varying government requirements and regulations
Strong awareness and familiarity of Government Supply Chain practices and Government Commodity Management sourcing practices
Strong experience with Excel including macros pivot tables etc. and some Access database and analytics methods preferred
Supply Chain professional certification(s) such as CPIM CSCP CPSM
Experience with SAP as primary ERP/MRP system
