Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install troubleshoot repair and maintain CNC production machines and facility equipment according to OEM instruction and production needs.
- Ability to operate a variety of CNC lathes mills and other CNC machinery as needed for machine repairs. Handwheel MDI and Auto operation.
- Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to machine geometry alignments spindle inspection/replacement ball screw inspection Bearing preload settings High Pressure coolant system adjustments and general component diagnosis and repair.
- Perform electrical and electronical troubleshooting such as spindle/axis servo tuning servo amplifier replacement and programing single and three phase power supplies low voltage control wiring overload protection resetting AC/DC motor inspection and troubleshooting.
- Set up work with variety of vendors contractors and outside technicians as well with other members of our internal Maintenance department
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong background with Fanuc controls to include parameter changes system backups grid shifts pitch error compensation G and M codes and the ability to read IO and search Ladder Logic as needed for diagnosis purposes.
- Ability to read and understand machine maintenance manuals operation manuals Fanuc instruction manuals and associated machine documentation. Paperback and digital
- Understanding and use precision measuring equipment
- Experience with vacuum pumps and systems is a desired skill
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with OSHA Safety and company rules.
Education and Experience:
- Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a technical apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of qualified maintenance experience.
- 57 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
