A Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods supplies and equipment from Import suppliers to the Port of India in the most economical cost & work with Foreign trade office & Finance for ontime License application & closuresJob Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate logistics operations including transportation warehousing and inventory management.
Manage and track shipments ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs increase efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with suppliers carriers and other stakeholders to resolve logistics issues.
Analyze data to identify trends opportunities for improvement and potential risks.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet business objectives.
Ensure compliance with laws regulations and industry standards.
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
To work with DGFT & consultants on Advance License applications & closures
Specific Tasks: *
- Route planning and optimization
- Freight forwarding and customs clearance
- Transportation management (air land sea)
- Freight audit and payment processing
- Logistics IT system management (e.g. OTM)
- Data analysis and reporting
- Budgeting and cost control
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or related field
- 25 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and technology (e.g. TMS WMS ERP)
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws (e.g. FMCSA IATA)
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. CLTD CSCP)
