Job Description

HR Generalist (PartTime 16Month Contract)

Location: Onsite in Kanata

Schedule: TuesdayThursday (3 days/week)

Term: 16month maternity leave contract (with onboarding overlap)

Start Date: June 16 2025


At Numbercrunch we believe the best teams are built on integrity collaboration and culture. Were hiring a parttime HR Generalist to join us on a 16month contract to cover a maternity leave. In this role youll support the daytoday HR function while also helping foster a vibrant connected workplace. Youll report directly to the VP of People Operations playing a key role in both employee support and event coordination.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full HR spectrumfrom systems and compliance to team building and cultureand is excited about supporting a diverse growing team of finance professionals.


What Youll Do HR Generalist Responsibilities

Support employee lifecycle needs from onboarding to offboarding

Assist with performance management coordination and tracking

Administer and maintain BambooHR including employee records time off and checklists

Support benefit administration and employee leave processes

Respond to employee questions around policies procedures and compensation

Assist with the recruitment process (job postings resume screening interview coordination)

Ensure HR documentation including the Employee Handbook remains current

Track and report on key HR metrics (e.g. time to hire retention engagement)

Help maintain compliance with employment standards and legislation

People & Culture Initiatives

Organize and host monthly staff lunches internal events and holiday celebrations

Coordinate team building activities and lunch & learns

Draft employee newsletters and updates

Help maintain our employer brand through social media (with internal highlights and events)

Capture and share moments that celebrate our team culture

About You

Youre experienced in HR administration and love supporting teams behind the scenes

Youre approachable professional and bring positive energy into every room

Youre highly organized and confident juggling systems checklists and peoplefocused initiatives

Youre comfortable working independently in a parttime role while collaborating closely with leadership

You thrive in a supportive highperforming team and love contributing to great culture

Qualifications

Postsecondary education in Human Resources or related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role

Familiarity with HR software (BambooHR is a strong asset)

Strong understanding of Ontario employment standards and HR best practices

Experience planning team events or employee engagement initiatives

Excellent communication organization and relationshipbuilding skills
