What Youll Do:
As a Family Peer Support Supervisor at Alexander Youth Network you will provide leadership mentorship and operational oversight to a team of Family Peer Support Specialists (FPSS) who support families navigating the challenges of raising children with behavioral health needs. Drawing from your knowledge of family peer support principles and your own lived experience as a parent/caregiver of a child with emotional behavioral social developmental and/or substance use challenges you will ensure the effective implementation and sustainability of the family peer support program.
You will be responsible for supervising and guiding the Family Peer Support Specialist team (maintaining a 1:10 supervisortopeer ratio) ensuring quality service delivery facilitating professional development and fostering a supportive work environment. Your leadership will be crucial in promoting selfadvocacy system navigation and resilience among both the FPSS team and the families they serve ultimately improving outcomes for youth involved in multiple systems.

Education and Experience
Must be Qualified Mental Health Professional. B.A or B.S. in Social Work or a related human service field preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in mental health substance use or related human services field
Prior experience as a Family Peer Support Specialist or with family peer support programs highly valued
Experience in providing direct supervision preferred
Must complete FPSSspecific supervisor training within 10 months of hire date
Knowledge of and experience with such childserving systems as (mental health developmental disabilities schools juvenile justice child welfare etc.)
Completion of 88 hours of required training for family peer specialist certification including: Trauma Informed Supervisor Training System of Care Family Journey Assessment Training and other relevant professional development
National Family Peer Specialist Certification preferred at time of hire; required within 12 months of start date if not already certified
