Job Description
The Technical Trainer I is responsible for developing and delivering technical course material on the various aspects of the Ignition software as well as maintaining the system for Ignition certification. They deliver courses on a regular basis. The Technical Trainer I also provides technical help throughout the company and may help other divisions through various training tasks. This is a fulltime position working 8am5pm Pacific Time with remote hybrid and onsite opportunities available.
Responsibilities
- Delivering customer facing beginner level Ignition training courses that effectively transfer knowledge and actively engage the students
- Delivering training courses in a specified time zone
- Communicating complex technical concepts to a nontechnical audience
- Ensuring virtual classroom environments are prepared and maintained for effective delivery
- Continuing to build Ignition knowledge beyond the ability to handle all customer questions in beginner classes
- Providing learning resources and guidance to employees throughout the company as needed
- Administering Ignition certification and assisting with any certification issues from IA staff or customers
- Assisting with other Training projects or tasks as assigned by their supervisor
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of training materials as needed
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a Technical or Instructional field OR at least 4 years of relevant technical education experience
- 2 years experience with classroom and eLearning instructional development or delivery
- Must be able to convey a large variety of technical concepts clearly and succinctly
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills including writing and speaking skills
- Familiarity with a programming language (Python Java C etc)
- Familiarity with SQL
- Ability to write effective documentation for processes and procedures
- Enthusiasm for teaching
- Experience with Ignition is a plus
- Experience teaching programming classes is a plus
$80000 $90000 a year
Pay
Based on the Sacramento region the new hires target salary for this role is $80k $90k. This role will be paid hourly.
Inductive Automations ranges are marketdriven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case work location jobrelated skills experience relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
