JD for Instructor - CNC Machine Control and CNC Programming Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Instructor for CNC Machine Control and CNC Programming. This role involves imparting high-level training in CNC machining including operation control and programming. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in CNC technologies and a passion for teaching and advancing the skills of others in this critical field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development: Develop and update training modules and curriculum for CNC Control Machine Operations and CNC Programming CNC Metal cutting CNC Machine Tending Automation and allied accessories and tools.
2. Training Delivery: Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for students covering CNC machine operation control systems and CNC programming. (in both die mould and Part manufacturing applications) Ensure that training programs align with industry best practices and standards.
3. Practical Instruction: Provide hands-on training in CNC machine operation setup CNC programming and toolpath creation.
4. Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and proficiency. Provide constructive feedback to students and support their skill development.
5. Resource Management: Interface with the workshop team and ensure training equipment CNC machines and related tools are iin working condition. Ensure the availability of necessary training materials and resources.
6. Safety and Compliance: Emphasize and enforce safety practices in CNC machining and programming. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe training environment.
7. Student Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to students including career advice and job placement support.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student attendance performance and progress. Prepare reports on training outcomes and student achievements
. Preferred Candidate Profile:
1. Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications.
2. Excellent problem-solving abilities to address issues related to CNC machine control programming and machining processes.
Training Certification in CNC programming and operation (e.g. Training program certification in CNC Advanced program applications) from technology providers are an added advantage. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Proficiency in Industry 4.0 concepts digital transformation and relevant ISO standards (e.g. QMS 9001:2015 EMS 14001:2015 IA in OH & SMS 45001: 2018). Education and Experience: 1. A Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience or a bachelors engineering degree with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in CNC machining control systems and programming. 2. At least 4-5 years of experience in teaching/training. 3. Proficiency in operating various CNC machines including setup tool changes and material handling and machine tending automation. Key Skills: 1. Mastery of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code and the ability to create modify and troubleshoot CNC programs especially in Fanuc Siemens Mitsubishi controls. 2. Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for creating and simulating CNC programs 3. Knowledge of selecting appropriate cutting tools tool holders and toolpath optimization for CNC machining
