Job Description: Responsible for all cleaning and general maintenance services throughout the campus. Provide a safe clean environment for employees and students. Assist in safety security maintenance and operations of St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

Salary Range: $20.21$25.05 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Different types of flooring/floor coverings (hard floors carpet and terrazzo) sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods materials agents and equipment
• Chemical cleaning agents such as disinfectants glass cleaners degreasers and general cleaners sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s) handle and apply and dispose of safely
• Methods tools and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs

ABILITY TO:

• Work while standing for long periods of time
• Perform assigned tasks with limited supervision
• Follow simple oral and written instructions and keep simple records
• Work inside and outside in adverse weather

PHYSICAL HEALTH AND ENDURANCE SUFFICIENT TO PERFORM WORK FUNCTIONS.

• Ability to perform work functions using ladders and lifts etc.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and 50100 lbs. on occasion (with assistance available)
• Capable of frequent standing walking lifting carrying pushing and pulling

• Good human relations skills
• Good communications skills to interact daily with students and employees of SCTCC
• Ability to prioritize work and be flexible during frequent interruptions
• Good work habits and selfmotivation
• Ability to work with limited supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION with or without accommodations:

• Ability to perform work that requires the following lifting/carrying strengths:
• Lifting/carrying 50 lb. maximum 25 lb. (or less)
• Ability to perform in a work environment which may include the following physical functions:
• Constant: Standing hearing feeling hearing near vision (up to 20) midrange vision far vision (over 20) depth perception field of vision.
• Frequent: Walking lifting waist to chest lifting below waist carrying pushing pulling stooping twisting/pivot reaching repetitive foot repetitive arm simple grasp firm grasp.
• Occasional: Sitting lifting above shoulder climbing balancing kneeling crouching squatting fine manipulation talking tasting/smelling.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OF POSITION:

• Ability to perform in a work environment that may include the following factors:
• Occasional: exposure to weather extreme cold extreme heat vibration atmospheric conditions moving mechanical parts electric shock toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequent: wet and/or humid radiant energy.

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota States vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
