We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This role requires strong technical leadership deep cloud experience and a passion for building robust scalable systems. You will be responsible for architecting developing and improving platform solutions while mentoring team members and driving technical excellence across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design development and operation of scalable secure platform engineering solutions.
Own problems endtoend; contribute to product strategy with a focus on performance observability and user impact.
Guide architecture and design discussions through code and design reviews.
Ensure engineering best practices across internal and external development teams.
Mentor and coach team members with a growth mindset.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving internal and external dependencies.
Promote Infrastructure as Code and continuous integration/delivery methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years in software engineering with experience designing enterpriselevel systems.
4 years handson with REST API integration Kubernetes and public cloud environments (GCP preferred).
Strong knowledge of microservices cloudnative architectures and infrastructure automation.
Experience with multitenant SaaS systems and modern DevOps practices.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (OOP algorithms data structures).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing distributed systems with high availability responsiveness and observability.
Familiarity with platform engineering tools and frameworks: PostgreSQL GitOps CI/CD Golang Bazel LaunchDarkly Okta.
Active participation in opensource communities is a plus.
Experience with GitHubbased workflows and agile development practices.
