About the role:
As a Senior Manager of UX within our ENTERPRISE UX Teamyoull be at the forefront of Targets evolving teammember tools and experiences shaping their direction and contributing to business growth. We currently have multiple open Senior Manager roles in Enterprise UX focused on Data Science Platform tools and Marketing & Creative tools.
Success for this leader requires the ability to understand Targets priorities and partner with a broad set of stakeholders to establish design & experience direction. Day to day youll ensure your team has what they need to thrive and deliver great work. This includes operating routines insights design direction partner awareness and a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities:
Build trust and proactively partner with UX Product Tech & Business stakeholders to set the stage for your team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Lead balanced UX teams and grow their teams ability to balance multiple projects/demands.
Coach mentor and guide a team of individual contributors of various levels helping them to grow and develop new skills while increasing trust transparency and engagement.
Work closely with crossfunctional teams to integrate design processes into the overall product development lifecycle.
Maintain highquality standards for your team throughout the design process including reviewing the work of the design team conducting design critiques and making sure that the final deliverables meet the established criteria.
Champion usercentered design principles within the organization promoting and advocating its importance.
About you:
Bachelors Degree/Masters Degree with specialization in Design preferred
7 years experience in the Leading UX teams or managing high performance teams
12 years of experience in UX/digital product design with a strong understanding of the design craft
Proven experience in a people management role including hiring leading and coaching high performing teams
Foundational understanding of enterprise tools role in a retail business
Experience working in large matrixed global or multinational organizations a plus
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and create impact through multiple levels of leadership including other Sr Managers Directors and Sr. Directors and can maintain both drive and patience throughout the journey.
Ability to balance shortterm and longterm thinking while raising quality and team performance
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team from meeting strategic business or financial goals
Strong datadriven visual verbal and written storytelling skills with ability to bring partners along
Excellent listening and communication skills along with great articulation and presentation skills
Experience successfully managing many stakeholders through all phases of the design process
