About the Role
In this role you will be part of the Engineering Controlling team you will coordinate and steer global R&D-related controlling topics within a global automotive scope. Your focus will be on process- and project-related tasks with an international reach. Together with your team members you will support the centralization and harmonization of processes and approaches addition you will help improve efficiency and increase automation in the current your daily work you will support R&D Controlling with the required deliverables
What You Will Do
- Align and support global month-end closing processes and activities & Perform operational controlling for Strategic Business Units (SBUs) or Customer Business Units (CBUs) including budget planning and forecasting
- Act as Engineering Controller for SBUs and prepare monthly and quarterly reviews serve as a Business Partner for SBU and customer teams define and prepare monthly reports and provide commentary for SBUs or CBUs
- Understand and manage intercompany processes for relevant areas and oversee engineering master data
- Participate in the global coordination of external engineering contractors
- Calculate engineering hourly rates globally for budgeting and business case planning calculate overhead mark-up and arrange intercompany agreements; manage intercompany transactions
- Act as deputy for global accrual calculations ensure management of financial commitments and expense budgets for the Engineering department and Customer Program Management (CPM)
- Report financial actuals budgets forecasts and key functional expense data for Engineering and CPM
What You Need to Be Successful
- Overall 10 years of experience including at least 3 years of operational controlling experience
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with an aptitude for complex problem-solving including data analysis and validation
- Expert knowledge of data flow management Advanced experience in independently managing topics/projects
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Solid accounting knowledge Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization including leadership
Bonus Points if You Have
- At minimum a Masters or Bachelors degree .
- 3 years of experience with SAP or other ERPs
- Experience in the automotive supplier industry is desirable

- This role is eligible for remote work with occasional trips to the Bangalore/Pune office location required (potentially with 24-hour notice)
