- Permanent position
- Part time (56hours per fortnight)
- Cleaner/Patient Transport Assistant Grade 2 (IN19)

The Department
Support Services provides the core Support Services of Nonward Cleaning Gardens and Grounds Distribution (including portering) Security Ward Support Food Services and Car Parking. The position of Porter is a key operational role within the Support Services team.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the nonclinical support services team as an orderly at Sandringham Hospital.
The position is responsible for patient transport and ancilliary dutiesthroughout the hospital environment. Applicants should have flexible availability including night and afternoonshifts as well as weekend work.
This role also requires good time management and organisational skills as the main function is the provision to provide a safe environment for patients/residents staff and visitors.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Previous experience in patient transport (experience in patient transportand ward support roleswithin the health care industry would be well regarded)
- Have good communication skills
- Enthusiasm astrong sense of responsibility
Essential
- Experience in patient transport
- Working with Childrens Check
- Experience in site emergency evacuation procedures
