Our client a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms is seeking a highlymotivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Hermosa Beach. This role provides an exciting opportunity to handle highstakes business and commercial litigation matters including professional liability securities litigation/arbitration and directors & officers defense.
JD from a toptier law school with a strong academic record.
Active Bar Admission in California.
3 years of substantive experience in litigation including business/commercial litigation professional liability securities litigation/arbitration and/or directors & officers defense.
Strong legal research writing and analytical skills.
Experience drafting pleadings motions and discovery documents.
Ability to take and defend depositions.
Familiarity with both state and federal courts preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Willingness to travel locally for court appearances mediations arbitrations site inspections and depositions.
Manage complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings motions and other litigation documents.
Take and defend depositions handle discovery requests and assist in trial preparation.
Represent clients in state and federal courts as well as in arbitrations and mediations.
Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation management.
