POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including but not limited to hiring and interviewing staff enforcing company policies and practices aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver valueadded service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization and support employee growth.
Duties:
- Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units departments and employees.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of employees reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides daytoday performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships build morale and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires promotions and transfers.
- Recruits interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
- Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting general HR functions as well as resolving complex employee challenges.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including organizational diagnosis employee relations diversity and equity performance management HRIS systems and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Bachelors degree preferred (Human Resources Organizational Psychology Business administration).
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRMCP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRMSCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
