Job Description
Job Title: Production Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager APUK
Company: American Pan DE
Location: Wassenberg Germany
Language: Bilingual in English and German
Position Purpose:
You will be responsible for all daily production matters on site. Your role will involve taking the lead in developing and implementing the sites production strategies.
As the leader of the site team you will ensure adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) promote valueadded work practices and demonstrate problemsolving abilities.
You will also develop and deliver clear performance indicators for the business. Additionally you will be actively involved in projects aimed at driving improvement activities to sustain the current growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Motivating supporting and providing guidance to production staff
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accidentfree
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
- The management and allocation of site personnel including the oversight of staff training and associated plant administration Recruitment and Staff KPI monitoring.
- Monitoring of work productivity reports on trends and recommends and implements changes to continually improve work productivity and processes.
- Manages and monitors daily performance of plant employees directly or within guidance providing feedback (including growth opportunities) for all team members.
- Performing facility audits and initiating actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards & improvements.
- Initiates Continuous Improvement Practices in all phases of the operation in order to achieve all production safety compliance goals.
- Organizing planned maintenance activities in conjunction with the Maintenance Team Site Supervisors and the Engineering Team.
- Ensuring the facility maintains and exceeds standards and operational related functions in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain longterm relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the negotiation Agreements and commercial contracts.
- Create and manage SLA agreements ensuring requirements are met.
- Undertake additional duties as instructed to support business needs.
Experience Required:
- 5 years of industrial management or supervision experience preferably within a global organization
- Manufacturing experience supporting EH&S and Employment Laws
- Strong communicator leader and hands on team member
- Demonstrate experience of managing motivating improving employees production.
- Strong leader able to inspire high performing teams.
- Strong organizational and delegation skills
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking ability.
- Ability to motivate and drive the team.
- Manage the health and safety and welfare of the people.
- Team development clear leadership and coaching skills are crucial
- Degree educated or experienced
- Bilingual in English and German professional is a must.
